The first in a series of Dropcloth Samplers based on traditional quilt patterns, this one comes painted with a bold red background, with geometrics out front to embroider in your choice of stitches.
Wonderfil Threads Custom Collection
Dropcloth Samplers is so excited to have collaborated on a custom collection of threads from Wonderfil. The Compass was stitched exclusively with all nine colors in this set. If you haven’t tried Perle Cotton yet, you’re in for a treat. This shiny, easy to use thread is a dream to stitch with. Each of the nine variegated colors is perfectly coordinated to this sampler.

Kits include three colors of embroidery floss, an embroidery needle, an embroidery hoop, the sampler of your choice, and a bonus Colorburst embroidery sampler. The sampler arrives preprinted on cotton quilting fabric, ready to stitch and includes basic instructions. You provide your own threads, needles, and hoop.
PLEASE NOTE: This item is not embroidered, but ready to be embroidered by YOU. The pictures show one way to fill in the design, but you can choose whatever colors/threads you like.

This Sampler measures approximately 8" x "8.
What thread should I use?
We use a combination of size 8 perle cotton and/or embroidery floss.

How should I back my sampler?
For best results, I recommend backing this fabric with a second piece of fabric (cotton or linen) before placing your fabric in the hoop. You'll get the flattest, most even stitches this way. Check out my how-to for this step on Creativebug or IGTV (@dropcloth)
What size hoops should I use?
I like a size 6—but use whatever you hoop you have on hand.
