Inspired by paint swatches and a thrift store find, I painted this design and surrounded each section with printed running stitch. This embroidery pattern is very simple- easy enough for beginners, but fun for everyone! Â
To complete this pattern, you will need an embroidery hoop, threads, needles, fabric for creating the pincushion, and polyfil.Â
Optional but recommended: Shape flex interfacing for offering a bit of structure to the backside of the embroidery and the Clover Stuffing tool. It makes stuffing the pincushion with polyfil so much easier.
Add on:
- The vintage strawberry fabric that I used for my sample. This is deadstock fabric from the nineteen seventies.
- A grab bag of threads. Each bag contains at least one of all seven colors, and selections include Wonderfil Perle Cotton, Weeks Dye Works Floss, vintage gems and more. Each bag is unique, and may vary from the selections shown.Â
