A cheerful floral pattern, the Pansy sampler is hand drawn by Rebecca Ringquist and printed on fabric. It arrives ready for you to hoop and stitch. I stitched mine all in back stitches and Algerian eyes, with both perle cotton and embroidery floss. Yours could be stitched with backstitch, satin stitches, french knots, or a stitch of your own invention!
The sampler arrives preprinted on cotton quilting fabric, ready to stitch and includes basic instructions. You provide your own threads, needles, and hoop.
PLEASE NOTE: This item is not embroidered, but ready to be embroidered by YOU. The pictures show one way to fill in the design, but you can choose whatever colors/threads you like.
What size is it?
This Sampler measures approximately 5" x 5".
What thread should I use?
We use a combination of size 8 perle cotton and/or embroidery floss.
Where can I find more embroidery help?
I'm so glad you asked! Check out my online workshops on Creativebug.
Where can I see other examples of the finished sampler?
Instagram! Check out the hashtag #dropclothsamplers for tons of beautiful examples of all our designs, stitched by people like you. I hope you'll add yours to the mix!
How should I back my sampler?
For best results, I recommend backing this fabric with a second piece of fabric (cotton or linen) before placing your fabric in the hoop. You'll get the flattest, most even stitches this way. Check out my how-to for this step on Creativebug or IGTV (@dropcloth)
What size hoops should I use?
I like a size 6—but use whatever you hoop you have on hand.
Dropcloth Samplers proudly ships in up-cycled packaging. Your order may arrive in a reused Prime envelope—but we are NOT associated with Amazon.
