The newest full sized sampler from Dropcloth Samplers has arrived. After the popularity of the Paisley Sampler, I wanted to design another jam packed embroidery project full of celestial inspired designs. Stars wind their way through a dense field of running stitches and potential rainbows. We used primarily back stitch, running stitch, and french knots. You can use your own favorite stitches to make this fun project your own. We used a combination of size 8 perle cotton and embroidery floss. Our example is stitched in a green to purple palette—what colors will you chose for yours?

The sampler arrives preprinted on cotton quilting fabric, ready to stitch and includes basic instructions. You provide your own threads, needles, and hoop.
PLEASE NOTE: This item is not embroidered, but ready to be embroidered by YOU. The pictures show one way to fill in the design, but you can choose whatever colors/threads you like.

This Sampler measures approximately 8" x 8".

How should I back my sampler?
For best results, I recommend backing this fabric with a second piece of fabric (cotton or linen) before placing your fabric in the hoop. You'll get the flattest, most even stitches this way. Check out my how-to for this step on Creativebug or IGTV (@dropcloth)
What size hoops should I use?
I like a size 6—but use whatever you hoop you have on hand.
