The ABC Max sampler is the most dense, pattern filled pattern we've ever designed. Imagined as a modern take on an alphabet sampler. The swirling designs create the alphabet in negative space. We stitched ours with a combination of couching, back stitch, french knot, satin stitch and more. However! This pattern is ripe with potential for customization. The sampler arrives preprinted on cotton quilting fabric, ready to stitch and includes basic instructions. You provide your own threads, needles, and hoop.
PLEASE NOTE: This item is not embroidered, but ready to be embroidered by YOU. The pictures show one way to fill in the design, but you can choose whatever colors/threads you like.
What size is it?
This Sampler measures approximately 15" x 18".
What thread should I use?
We use a combination of size 8 perle cotton and/or embroidery floss.

How should I back my sampler?
For best results, I recommend backing this fabric with a second piece of fabric (cotton or linen) before placing your fabric in the hoop. You'll get the flattest, most even stitches this way. Check out my how-to for this step on Creativebug or IGTV (@dropcloth)
What size hoops should I use?
I like a size 6—but use whatever you hoop you have on hand.
